With every order, we send you a bunch of keys. We typically send two custom Teague keys and two boring keys. The two boring keys are similar to the kind that you would find at the local locksmiths. You can have more boring keys made at any locksmiths. All of our keyways are Schlage C keyways, one of the most common keyways on earth. But, if you want more of our sexy Teague keys, you can order more here. We will ship them to you blank. You will need to ask your locksmith to cut them.

After you receive your new Teague key blank and proceed to the local locksmith, you may have a conversation like this:

YOU: "Could you key this blank?"

You then hand the locksmith the key blank which looks like this:

LOCKSMITH: We can't key that.

YOU: Why?

LOCKSMITH: That's not a key for a Schlage C keyway.

YOU: Yes it is.

LOCKSMITH: No it's not. I've never seen a key like that before.

YOU: Humor me. Just try it, please. I promise it will work.

You then hand the locksmith your Teague key blank and the original key. He will start grinding away on his key maker. When he's done, pay the locksmith, go home, and make sure the key works. We've never had problems with customers keying our blanks this way.

If you really, really need an extra Teague key blank and you live someplace remote, like Los Osos, then we can look through our records and find your original order. We keep track of how every lock is keyed. So it's a pain, but we can send you a key pre cut. Contact us if that's the case.
